It happened again and with a wry smile on Segun’s face, he said to her it’s calm and I understand you have to do what is best for you; but what he was really thinking was NO!!!!, it’s actually not calm, why is another babe ending things with me because of passion.
Segun had little or no emotional investment in Precious, so he did not feel the severe pain of heartbreak he had felt in his previous relationship, however, he still suffered a bit of pain, the pain of disappointment. Segun is a big critic of himself as he strongly believes in personal development, so when he had that difficult quasi-breakup conversation (p.s. it wasn’t a relationship, more like a situationship), he was quite focused on Precious’ reason for ending it. She told him that they had to end things because she did not feel the passion between them. His instant reaction which was not voiced out loud was, “Ta lo ni Passion, as in what the actual fuck is passion”
After feeling sorry for himself, he thought about what she said which was very similar, if not identical to what his previous partner had told him, “His relationship lacked passion”. Immediately the word stuck out to him, What is passion? What do women mean, when they say they want passion? That was the million-dollar question. Segun vowed never to be dropped because of a lack of passion again. He was on a journey to discover passion.
